Nzingha has over 20 years of experience in clinical and addictions counseling. Nzingha has contributed to the field of behavioral health in administration, supervision, and community activism among diverse populations across the country with a focus on raising awareness about Race-Based Traumatic Stress Injury (RBTSI), the importance of mental health treatment specifically for people of color, and community empowerment as part of emotional and psychological healing.

Nzingha created the Social Justice Involvement Scale © and the Race-Based Traumatic Stress Injury Assessment © and she invented the Sankofa Method © of mental health counseling. In addition to her research, development and advocacy work, Nzingha is an Assistant Professor at the University of Cincinnati in the Social Sciences Department.

Counseling Supervision

60 Minute training supervision sessions to Licensed Professional Counselors and counselor trainees. As a counseling services director and an adjunct professor in counseling education, Dr. Dalila has considerable experience providing work and training supervision. This is the only license type that can give training supervision to an LPC, LPCC or CT. Nzingha can also supervise an MFT, LPC or LSW for work supervision.

Substance Abuse Counseling

Nzingha holds a level three specialization in chemical dependence counseling. Whether counseling addicts who need to fulfill mandatory court-ordered treatment, or those who fear they will become addicts, Dr. Dalila works with individuals to help overcome dependencies and become self-sufficient. Nzingha understands that when drugs and alcohol interfere with people’s lives, there are often other factors in their lives that needs to be addressed to help free them of the hold that substances have on their lives.

Past Life Regression

Past Past Soul-Life regression is a technique to recover repressed memories of past lives or incarnations in pursuit of increased spiritual awareness and reconciliation of unresolved conflicts from past lives that continue today. By helping the client to achieve a state of deep relaxation, the conscious mind accesses previous experiences of their Ba (their soul). When the client’s conscious awareness transcends this third dimension life to view the past, the client can see the entire story that can empower them to be free of the impact of past traumas and understand the lessons that she/he is to resolve in this present soul-life time.
